Southend gaffer Steve Tilson was happy to be entered into the FA Cup round 2 after a 1-0 win against Barnet yesterday. 'We played well and deserved the win' Tilson spoke, 'Barnet are a tough side but I always knew we would be victorious. This means that we have a decent chance of wining the cup but it is still early days.'

Norwich City manager Nigel worthington has declared an interest in the Blues forward, Freddy Eastwood. Eastwood, Southends top goalscorer, came from Grays Athletic a confrence league team.
